SUMMARY:ESSENTIALS OF PROCESS SAFETY
DESCRIPTION:Overview: \nThis two-day short course\, Essentials of Process Safety\, gives industry practitioners a compact but practical grounding in the principles\, hazards and management approaches needed to prevent major process incidents. Through a mix of short lectures\, real major-incident case studies (e.g.\, Texas City\, Bhopal)\, and applied sessions on hazard identification and consequence analysis\, participants will learn how process-safety events develop\, how to recognize common fire\, explosion and toxic hazards\, and how to use basic risk-assessment tools and layers-of-protection thinking to reduce harm. \n  \nLearning Outcomes: \nUpon completion of program\, participants will be able to: \n(1) Identify and explain major process-safety hazards and incident sequences (Participants will be able to classify common process hazards (fire\, explosion\, toxic release)\, describe the process incident sequence and key causal mechanisms\, and extract lessons from major historical incidents for application in their own operations);; \n(2) Apply basic hazard-identification and consequence-analysis techniques (Participants will be able to conduct structured hazard identification and perform elementary consequence and dispersion assessments to estimate potential effects and identify credible loss scenarios); \n(3) Recommend and justify practical risk-reduction measures and management actions (Participants will be able to select appropriate layers of protection (preventive and mitigative)\, propose improvements to performance indicators and incident-investigation practices\, and relate how this fit into a process-safety management system to reduce both likelihood and consequence of major incident). \n  \nWho Should Attend:\nSafety & Health Officers (SHOs)\, Safety & Health Committee Members\, OSH Practitioners\, Directors\, CEOs\, General Managers\, Safety & Health/ Facilities/ Operations Managers\, Executives\, Officers\, those handling OSH matters\, those who are involved in risk management of the organization and workplace. \n  \n \nDownload Brochure & Registration Form

SUMMARY:Risk Management with Process through Design (PtD) & General Principles of Prevention (GPP)
DESCRIPTION:Overview: \nThe Process through Design (PtD) and General Principles of Prevention (GPP) integrate into workplace risk management to achieve a more preventive safety culture\, forming core strategies within the Occupational Safety and Health Master Plan 2021-2025 (OSHMP2025). PtD aims to “design out” hazards and minimize risks early in the planning and design stage of a process\, product\, or workplace. GPP are a set of fundamental steps/ principles to manage risks and protect workers’ safety and health. These principles are based on hierarchical approach to risk control. GPP integrates with PtD and the Hierarchy of Control to provide a complete framework for risk management. \n  \nLearning Outcomes: \nUpon completion of program\, participants will be able to: \n(1) Understand the concept and importance of Process through Design (PtD) in workplace safety and health; \n(2) Explain the General Principles of Prevention (GPP) as outlined in OSHMP2025 frameworks; \n(3) Apply preventive measures according to the Hierarchy of Control; \n(4) Develop strategies to eliminate or reduce workplace hazards and risks. \n  \n  \nWho Should Attend:\nSafety & Health Officers (SHOs)\, Safety & Health Committee Members\, OSH Practitioners\, Directors\, CEOs\, General Managers\, Safety & Health/ Facilities/ Operations Managers\, Executives\, Officers\, those handling OSH matters\, those who are involved in risk management of the organization and workplace. \n  \n \nDownload Brochure & Registration Form
